Bruce Mareri

I'm a Research Fellow in Computer Networks and Communications at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, currently working on 5G network slicing and resource optimization. I previously did research at Mobile Cloud Net Lab working with Dr. Guolin Sun and Dr. Guisong Liu. My work focuses on developing intelligent solutions for next-generation wireless networks, particularly in areas of network slicing, traffic classification, and resource allocation.

My recent research has centered on creating novel deep learning approaches for 5G networks, including the development of MANTA (Multi-Lane Capsule Network Assisted Traffic Classification) and SNAF (Slice-to-Node Access Factor) frameworks. These projects aim to improve network efficiency and quality of service through intelligent traffic management and resource allocation. I'm particularly interested in applying advanced machine learning techniques like deep reinforcement learning to solve complex networking challenges.

I have published several papers in prestigious journals including IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Wireless Communications Letters, and IEEE Transactions on Network and Service Management. My research interests span across network virtualization, artificial intelligence in networks, and IoT edge computing, with a special focus on developing practical solutions for next-generation wireless networks.
